Hi, I’m Andrés.
I’m a Colombian physiotherapist and registered nurse, trained here in Australia. My whole career has been about caring for people — and noticing when something isn’t fair.
What I kept noticing was the women around me: my wife, Andrea, and our friends. They’d find the makeup they loved, see the price, and put it back — settling for something that didn’t suit their skin, their style or how they wanted to feel. Not because they didn’t know what they wanted, but because quality always seemed to come with a price tag that didn’t make sense.
So we decided to close that gap. Andrea and I — fifteen years married and both proudly Colombian — started Koko Dorado here in Wollongong, in the Illawarra. Together we handpick every brand and product, checking its reputation, ratings and real customer reviews before it earns a place in our store.
Koko Dorado is our way of making sure every woman in Australia can buy what she loves, not just what she can — and feel proud of every product in her makeup bag.
